The Desert Eagle is a small gun in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. In Brotherhood of Steel, it can be dual-wielded.
Background[]
A large-framed, gas-operated pistol chambered in .44 Magnum. Popularized by late 20th century action movies, this respectable weapon has earned a reputation for firepower and an enduring popularity.[1] The fact that it can load high powered cartridges due to it being gas operated certainly helped.
Models[]
Desert Eagle .44[]
A veritable relic, the Desert Eagle in .44 still features its original nickel finish. It's one of the earlier models, easily distinguished by its distinctive teardrop shape.
- For the modded version of the Desert Eagle .44 found in Fallout 2, see: Desert Eagle (exp. mag.)
Desert Eagle Mark XIX .44[]
A top of the line model, featuring scope rails and larger cocking serrations on the slide, as well as a simplified caliber-switching method, allowing for changing the chambering by simply swapping the barrels out.
Notes[]
- According to the Fallout demo the Desert Eagle .44's item name was originally going to be called "Magnum Pistol".[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- The Desert Eagle was added to the game at the request of Chris Taylor.[3]
