Deliver Westin's holodisk to Lynette in Vault City is a quest in Fallout 2 obtained by Roger Westin in NCR after completing Deliver Lynette's holodisk to Westin in NCR.
Walkthrough[]
When you deliver Bishop's Holodisk to Roger Westin he'll ask if you're a Vault City citizen, and if you are he gives you this quest. Successful delivery nets 1500 XP, a H&K G11 and two frag grenades, from Randal in Vault City.
There is no additional reward from Westin.
The relevant portion of the related New Reno quest for Bishop: "Assassinate Westin in NCR without making it look like a murder." can thus be completed immediately after starting this one, without interfering with any quests.
Dialogues with First Citizen of Vault City Lynette check for the choice of the dialogue options which address her as First Citizen, for the purposes of tallying a 'respect' count for the player.
When you deliver the holodisk, with this 'respect' count high enough, and with CHA 8 or higher, Lynette will appoint the player Captain of the Guard. Captain status enables, among other things, Cassidy to receive restitution from Stark for the illegal raid on Cassidy's bar.
Just before handing over the disc, with Speech at 75% or more and Citizenship, say you 'have a question' for her, ask why they don't 'live in a vault', and then pick the last option, to leave dialogue. This can be repeated infinitely, although 10-15 times should be sufficient. As Captain, you get 2500 XP for the delivery instead of the usual 1500 XP.
