Defacing the Humble Stone[1] is an unmarked quest in Fallout: New Vegas.
Walkthrough[]
The player happens upon a war memorial to the troopers and Rangers fallen during the First Battle of Hoover Dam. A soldier, Private Kowalski, is paying his respects to PFC Donald Kowalski, his older brother, who died during the battle. This "quest" triggers if the player attacks the memorial. Kowalski will draw his rifle and accuse the player of desecrating a war memorial.
- The Player can defuse the situation using Speech 30. If they do not apologize, the player will receive negative infamy.
- Insulting Kowalski and his late brother will cause him to attack and generates negative karma.
