The crashed Vertibird robot is a Mister Handy unit from Daisy Whitman's Vertibird that crashed near the town of Klamath. The robot is heavily damaged and attacks while citing lines from sci-fi movies apparently stuck in its memory.

- "Vee-jer, Veee-jer.", is a reference to the 1979 film Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
- "Danger Bill Williamson, Danger!" is a reference to the television series Lost in Space.
- "Gort! Klaatu Berada Nictu!", is a reference to the 1953 film The Day the Earth Stood Still.
