Convince Coleridge that Presper deceived them was going to be a quest in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios. It is located in B.O.M.B.-001.
Summary[]
The player would have been able to convince Coleridge that Presper deceived his team about the New Plague and instead poisoned him with a virus that would kill him and his men eventually. By doing so, the player will turn Coleridge against Presper and allow for retargeting the BOMB-001 payloads without interference.
The confrontation would occur if the player was captured, walked onto the bridge, or was detected fiddling with the targeting computer. The player could convince Coleridge that neither he nor his men received the lighter strain of the New Plague, but instead a virus with a delayed activation period. If the player character had enough Persuade skill (tentatively set at a minimum of 50), then Coleridge would shoot Presper in the face, set the station to self-destruct, and exit via escape pods, giving the player free reign of the station for three minutes until detonation.
Walkthrough[]
- Combat Boy – Convincing Coleridge will take a bit of the Persuade skill, maybe > 50. Having this skill will present more convincing dialogue options to throw Coleridge's way.
- Diplomacy Boy – If he doesn't have Persuade > 50, then he's not much of a Diplomacy Boy and needs to be ridiculed incessantly at Duck & Cover.
