Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform (CAMP) is a Vault-Tec Corporation device allowing Residents to easily establish camps and homesteads on the surface. It is a core feature of Fallout 76.

Background[]

A C.A.M.P. is a Vault-Tec device that is available to the residents of Vault 76. It is the primary device used in the idea of “rebuilding America”, a popular slogan thrown around in the vault.

Gameplay[]

CAMPs are collected at Vault in the start and can be used to build and craft anywhere in the world. Your C.A.M.P. will provide much-needed shelter, supplies, and safety. The player can even set up shop to trade goods with other survivors via the Personal Vending Machine. CAMPs are tied to the player's account, not server, and spawn whenever the player is online. Once the player logs out, their CAMP and items to tied to it are removed from the game space, but easily return in once the player logs back in.

Furthermore, in Survival Mode other players can damage the things a player builds, but they cannot destroy them permanently, as an anti-griefing measure. Repair costs are deliberately kept low for that reason as well. CAMP items cannot be damaged in Adventure Mode
