”— Vulpes IncultaCold, Cold Heart is a side quest in Fallout: New Vegas. It's not obtainable if the player travels to the Fort and Vulpes relocates there.
Synopsis[]
The Nipton Massacre is a message from the Legion to the Republic, one meant to terrorize and demoralize soldiers and civilians alike. However, as with all psychological operations, someone has to spread the word. Vulpes Inculta selects the Courier for the job.
Walkthrough[]
- The quest is obtained by traveling to Nipton and talking to Vulpes Inculta at the town hall. Vulpes will explain what happened and assure that the player won't find their way up on a cross. Instead, he wants them to spread the word of what happened here, in order to demoralize the NCR. Stating that the player "admires the stark purity of the Legion's justice" gains Legion fame.
- The quest is completed by traveling to the Mojave Outpost and informing poor Sergeant Kilborn of what transpired there.
- It's possible to earn some Legion fame when informing Sergeant Kilborn. This interaction turns him hostile, unless the player is disguised in NCR armor.
