The Child at Heart Perk greatly improves your interactions with children mainly, but some adults and, strangely, a robot, usually in the form of unique dialogue choices. The Child at Heart perk is particularly useful in Little Lamplight, where a lot of children are present.

Icon cut contentThe following is based on Fallout New Vegas cut content and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

This perk exists as unimplemented content in Fallout: New Vegas and there are a few uses for it hidden in the game's code, but because there are very few children in the Mojave wasteland it was left out.

Bitter Springs refugees[]

Regardless of which greeting you hear, you will receive Barnabas Bear.

"The man with the spiky hat comes into camp at night."

"I say. Would you like some of this absolutely delightful confection I found? I've been grazing on it all day."

"I like you. Will you take Barnabas Bear to New Vegas when you go?"

"Did you know ants can get *this* big?"

"I saw snake puppies in the hills."

Lindsay[]

Lindsay is the Mini Boomer at Nellis AFB who is missing her teddy bear, Mr. Cuddles.

>Think really hard. What were you doing when you saw him last?

"Oh! I remember now. I was playing hide-and-seek in the big hangar. Mr. Loyal made us leave, though."

Max[]

Max is the boy in Freeside who chases his friend around with Euclid's C-Finder.

>I'm a space soldier. The general sent me to ask you to borrow your gun to stop an alien invasion.

"Really? Cool! Bring it back to me when you're done, okay? I think Stacey might be turning into an alien."

Melody[]

Melody is the slave girl at the Fort.

>{Child At Heart}Don't worry - I won't tell on you if you don't tell on me.

"Okay. Um... do you think you could help me?"
