Case box, 10mm is a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Case Boxes contain cases used in crafting the type of ammunition on their label. Each box contains 25 case, 10mm.

Ammunition casings are used in the crafting of ammunition at reloading bench's. Combine (1) case, 10mm, (17) lead, (9) powder, pistol, and (1) primer, large pistol to get (1) 10mm round.

One can be bought from Cliff Briscoe or can be stolen by breaking into the Dino Bite gift shop supply closet.
Can occasionally be bought from Blake at the Crimson Caravan Company camp.
2 to 4 cases can be bought from the Gun Runners

Within the game files of Honest Hearts exists an unused item with the editor id of NVDLC02BoxCase45Auto. However this item uses the name "Case Box, 10mm", PipBoy icons and stats.

Sometimes the cases are not added to your inventory; this can be remedied by dropping the box on the ground, then picking it back up. This bug has been fixed in the 1.2.0.31x patch.
