Captain Dean Boat Rentals is a location in the Mojave Wasteland. It is located at the edge of Lake Mead in Callville Bay.

Layout[]

Exterior[]

The old boat storage warehouse to the left of the rental store is crawling with 4-7 cazadors and several nests. Lakelurks can be found nearby on the shores of Lake Mead. Outside the store, their sign reads "Captain Dean Boats & Bait, Rentals, Worms, Ice Cream."

Interior[]

The interior is lined with a few aisles of random clutter and other miscellaneous items that lead to the back counter. On the counter, there are several bottle caps lining it along with other miscellaneous junk. To the right on a table is a cash register with a Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap next to it on side. Behind the counter their's a safe that spawns random bottle cap and clutter loot. Upon entering, encounter 2-5 giant rats scavenging for scraps.

Notable loot[]

Appearances[]

Captain Dean Boat Rentals appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Bugs[]

  • When you first walk into the building there is a Toy car sitting on the first shelf that you come to. When you try to pick it up you can't, which is strange because when you highlight the item, your screen reads "(Action button) Take" instead of "(Action button) Take Toy Car". When you grab it and move it, a message will be displayed on the left top corner of the screen saying : "Good! Now push (Action button) again to let go off the skull.". The message is part of the beginning game tutorial in Doc Mitchell's House, where there is a brahmin skull on the mantle above his fire place that is the tutorial on moving objects.
