Fallout: New Vegas locations project
I don't know what the hell the survey team was thinking when they said this was a strategically sound location.”— Sergeant Banner, Fallout: New Vegas
Camp Guardian is the remains of a New California Republic Army encampment that was under construction in October, 2281. Located in the River Mountains of the Mojave, this fortification takes its seat on Mount Guardian. Its peak overlooking the Colorado River and Lake Mead.
Camp Guardian was a stable outpost in the setup in the Guardian Peak area to keep an look out on Legion activity across the Colorado and to intercept any Legion forces attempting to cross. Stationed at the camp were 12 NCR rangers and troopers, but due a Lakelurk infestation the camp was overrun with 11 soldiers killed by the lakelurks.

On approaching the camp, the Courier picks up a Camp Guardian Distress Call which informs the player of an attack on the camp by an unknown group of mutant creatures, and that the voice in the call is in dire need of help. The area surrounding Camp Guardian, on the path up to Guardian Peak is populated by a few radscorpions of various types and quite a lot of giant rats. Traveling up the narrow path will lead to Guardian Peak and the Camp Guardian caves.
- You can turn off the radio signal by activating the ham radio.
- Sergeant Banner, leader of the now-deceased NCR troopers found in the Camp Guardian caves, has left 11 log notes scattered around the camp and Guardian Peak.
- There is a hollowed-out rock next to the Camp Guardian sign at the base of the mountain.
Camp Guardian appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
