The brush gun forged receiver is a type of weapon mod in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics

This mod increases the weapon's total possible condition by 50%, from 150 to 225.

Bugs

• PC Xbox 360 Using Weapon Repair Kits on brush guns once modified with the brush gun forged receiver will have a reverse effect on the weapon. It will decrease the condition, continuing until it drops to 50%. If the weapon is below 50% it will increase it up to but no further than 50%. This seems to be a bug related to the Forged Receiver increasing the guns condition by 50%. Modified guns can still be fully repaired with other brush guns or by merchants. (fixed by latest patch) Alternately, if you have the Jury Rigging perk it can be repaired with weaker weapons such as the varmint rifle.
• PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 The textures assigned to the mesh of a brush gun with this mod attached incorrectly apply the brush gun's texture to the luminescent dots on the sight posts, resulting in the sights being slightly more difficult to use in low-light scenarios.
