The Browning Auto Rifle is used as a support weapon and for pinning enemy soldiers with the high powered 30.06 rifle rounds. Developed in the early 20th century.

The Browning auto rifle is a small gun that can be found and obtained in Fallout Tactics.

Background[]

The M1918 Browning automatic rifle, more commonly known as the BAR, was developed by John Browning in 1917 for the American Expeditionary Forces. Mass production of the BAR came to a halt when superior rifles with less recoil were produced. The BAR was mass produced from 1917 to 1950, with a supposed 100,000 made during this period of time. During its service, the Browning automatic rifle was used as a support weapon for pinning enemy soldiers with the high powered 30.06 rifle rounds.

Characteristics[]

For a big, heavy support firearm that is obtained late in the game, the Browning has a relatively small bite to go with its bark as they use 30.06 rounds. The low amount of damage, coupled with the low accuracy and lack of AP capabilities, also cripple its effectiveness against robotic enemies.

Locations[]

Found on a dead civilian in one of Great Bend's factories, surrounded by security robots.
