Broadcast tower LP8 is a broadcast tower in the Capital Wasteland in the year 2277. It is located northeast of Montgomery County Reservoir and south of Oasis.[1]
Layout[]
There's a radio antenna and a generator enclosed behind a metal fence. With the latter's switch the tower can be turned on to emit Signal Echo Foxtrot.
Sealed cistern[]
East of the tower is a sealed cistern, just over the cliff face, which can be entered via a sewer entrance. Inside a ham radio can be found which allows to turn off the broadcast.
Notable loot[]
- Inside the sewer chamber, there is a Big Book of Science and a locked safe (easy) which will contain caps, and (level-dependent) may also contain 1-2 10mm pistols and corresponding ammunition, a chem, pre-War money and a Stealth Boy.
- This is a Group A random encounter location. The exact spot is on the north-northwest corner of the gate that surrounds the broadcast tower, and will be triggered within a radius of approximately 20 – 25 running strides.
Appearances[]
Broadcast tower LP8 appears only in Fallout 3.
