Big Sal is a high ranking member of the Omertas living in the Gomorrah in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[]
Big Sal is Nero's right hand man and is involved with a variety of sneaky operations with Nero, Clanden and Troike. He can be found at the Gomorrah casino on the New Vegas Strip. Most of the time he hangs around in the hallway near the Zoara Club, upstairs from the Brimstone main hall. At night he can be found in his room in the southwest corner of the suites level.
Big Sal displays a pop-up message when he is killed, not unlike a companion.

If you side with Cachino in the quest How Little We Know, after killing him you can hit him with any weapon (including fists) and you will gain a random amount of XP, including up to 700 XP.
- This is fixed in patch 1.4.0.525.
