Bert was one of the leads on the team that created the first robobrains, the precursors to the model that entered production and within which he and the rest of Vault 118 reside. As the resident expert, Bert takes care of the robobrain units and continuously tunes up their systems, including the finicky voice modulators.[1]

Functionally this model is more or less the same as the previous versions I worked on, but without the neural inhibitor and reconditioning. The voice modulator seems to have some minor issues interfacing with the neural matrix, which can add some moodiness. But that's easily solved with regular tune ups. Was there something else, Detective?"
