The beret is a piece of headwear in Fallout: New Vegas.

The New California Republic Army uses green berets to identify its officers. The beret seems to be camouflaged in various shades of green and brown and has a cap badge of the NCR two-headed bear roaring up at a gold star.

The following people wear berets:
- Layla wears one.
- Several NCR officers.
- A generic NCR Trooper on the New Vegas Strip can be found wearing a beret. Kill him or reverse-pickpocketing a better item of headgear to get it.
- Lt. Haggerty outside Helios One.
- It is very easy to reverse pickpocket a green beret from Captain Parker (while he is sleeping) at Aerotech Office Park.
- General Oliver has a special green beret which can be worn after you kill him in the quest Render Unto Caesar.
- Captain Curtis in the Camp McCarran terminal building during the I Put a Spell on You quest wears a beret.
- Colonel James Hsu in Camp McCarran.
- Lieutenant Carrie Boyd in Camp McCarran.
- Colonel Royez at the Long 15 wears a green beret and a Scorched Sierra power armor
- Major Dhatri outside Camp McCarran.
- Lieutenant Hayes in Primm.
- Major Knight at the Mojave Outpost wears one.
Notes[]
- When wearing the red beret, NCR MPs will sometimes say "That beret is looking good, soldier."
- When dropped, it, along with the 1st Recon beret will be as thin as a piece of paper and become extremely bouncy, causing it to easily be lost.
- The green beret uses the same pip-boy icon as the 1st Recon beret.
