Balmoral was a Staff Sergeant from the 3rd Platoon, Cazador Company, 4th Ranger Battalion.
Background
Staff Sergeant Balmoral was a member of a recon platoon which seems to be the first NCR Ranger unit to reach the Divide.
Their objective was to find an alternate route for bringing troops to Hoover Dam. Balmoral found the area highly unsuitable due to harsh landscape, high radiation level and hostile indigenous life.[1] Later his platoon's advance scouts encountered heavy Legion activity in the area.[2]
