Automaton is a challenge in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Old World Blues.
Requirements[]
Build a robot bent on destruction in one of the Big MT's research centers. In the X-8 Research Center, take a left after you enter. Proceed in this direction until you reach a room with a RobCo console. Interact with the console, and choose to splice a robot and an unusual specimen. The Holotape for the unusual Specimen can be found on top of one of the cages in the kennel. The player must enter the kennel from the X-8 Testing Facility to get on top of the cages.
The player can also splice other creations if the required holotape is in their possession. See Mad Scientist.
