The auto-cannon is an autonomous defense turret equipped with twin Minigun cannons (in varying caliber) and relatively heavily armored. They are usually part of an automated defense system.

A simple, yet efficient design, the auto-cannon turret is an autonomous defense robot. Built around an armored, rotating base, it contains a "head" with the main processing unit and sensors, with the auto-cannons mounted on articulated side mounts connected to the frame on the rear, which also contains eight hundred rounds of ammunition plus any additional ammunition cans for reloading. Simply put, it's an extremely potent defensive emplacement.

Gray paragraphs are based on Fallout Tactics and were not confirmed by primary sources A single-weapon turret with an auto-cannon on an articulated mount, this turret variant was designed to be a versatile platform capable of firing a variety of ammunition, including 7.62mm, .50 cal, and even fire rockets. Their deployment was severely restricted to Cheyenne Mountain, Vault 0, and supporting facilities.
