The atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator is a piece of headwear in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Old World Blues.

Background[]

Focusing on unlocking the potential lying in lightwave dynamics, researchers in the Z-38 lightwave dynamics research facility managed to harness light to create computer-controlled holograms capable of acting as shopkeepers, guides and mobile cameras. The project also yielded more outlandish results, such as the valence radii-accentuator and the atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator, holographic halos capable of boosting the body's metabolism, increasing its regeneration rate and endurance.

Characteristics[]

A variant of the basic valence radii-accentuator, the oscillator boasts three separate halos aligned at even angles, orbiting the wearer's head. It restores 24 hit points every game hour and gives a +1 bonus to Endurance. The regeneration effect stacks with other effects, like those provided by Rad Child, Monocyte Breeder, and Solar Powered.

It is assigned to the glasses slot, meaning it can be worn with certain types of headgear (berets, Daniel's hat etc.), but not with other glasses.

The regeneration does not apply to NPCs. However, it does give a total DT of 8 when worn with a space helmet, making it excellent for combat (for reference, the T-51b helmet gives 6 DT). It also allows for more versatility in choosing headgear.
