The AK-112 assault rifle[1] is a military assault rifle from the AK series originating from the USSR. The AK-112 was in service during the early 21st century but was replaced by more modern models. Chambered for the 5mm round, it utilizes a 24-round magazine. The AK-112 was eventually considered aged and was no longer in use prior to the Great War.[1]
Characteristics[]
A decent weapon that's located about halfway between the 10mm submachine gun and the hunting rifle, the AK-112 is neither an excellent long-range gun, nor a perfect close quarters combat option. It's average and marginally more useful than the 10mm submachine gun, due to the bug that prevents ammunition modifiers from affecting the weapon.
It is useful as a secondary weapon for Big Guns characters, using the same ammo as the Minigun. However, shot-for-shot, .223 rifles are strictly superior.
The weapon was originally named Colt Rifle in early builds of Fallout.
