The Anacostia River is a river that runs part of its course in the Capital Wasteland.
Background[]
The river was named after the native Anacostans that Captain John Smith was received by in 1608. Prior to that, it was referred to as the Eastern Branch of the Potomac River.

The Anacostia River is a tributary of the Potomac River that runs to the northeast. Rivet City is located on the river.
