Built for a pre-Great War uranium mining waste disposal concern, the agricola mining robots can often be found in abandoned mines and nuclear waste facilities across the American wastelands. They are extremely well-armored and, more importantly, use vacuum tubes instead of integrated microcircuits like most technology in the Fallout universe. This technology also makes them almost impervious to the electromagnetic pulse weapons that are so deadly to other robots. Agricola robots are most often equipped with drills and lasers for cutting rock. Used against human beings, they are quite effective.

Appearances in games[]

Agricola mining robots were to appear in Van Buren.

Behind the scenes[]

Agricola is the Latin word for "farmer". However, the name of the robot is more likely to refer to Georgius Agricola (1494–1555), whose book De Re Metallica was the standard text on geology and mining for two centuries.
