After Burner gum is a Fallout Tactics consumable.


After Burner is a chewing gum filled with a powerful methamphetamine that stimulates the central nervous system. The initial euphoric rush rarely lasts more than a few minutes, but during that time, the user is filled with a rush of energy and strength.

  • The effects of the After Burner gum are identical to that of jet in Fallout 2 but with a lower risk of addiction.
  • After Burner gum can purportedly be smeared on auto-cannons and laser turrets in order to cause them to malfunction (for example, activating After Burner gum's "use on" function and targeting the turrets in Peoria (even if they're still inactive) damages them. It usually takes four applications of gum to destroy each turret. During this activity, the character's stats do not change though the addicted alert often appears above their head).
