Adamowicz was best known for his work on Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. For Fallout 3, he created the concepts for the design of characters, weapons, apparel, locations and the general surrounding wasteland. Before becoming a concept artist, he attempted to break into the comic book industy, but with no luck. He was grateful to the video game industry which gave struggling artists a legitimate line of work.[1]
He was apparently a very warm, energetic, outgoing and, above all, talented individual while working at Bethesda Softworks. He had a strong work ethic in which he could transition from "off-the-wall zaniness to extreme focus and come up with something that we still look at in awe today." "Adam’s presence is indelibly felt in the games he worked on. To play his games ... was to know him, in a way."[1] Adamowicz would often play the games he helped create during lunch, long before and after the games were finished. Bethesda staff hearing his tales of adventure and excitement were greatly reminded why they make the type of games they do.[1]
