”— John 8:12, Marcella's TerminalThe Abbey of the Road is a Christian monastery somewhere west of the Commonwealth.[1] It raises then sends out missionaries to spread the faith.[2] Marcella, one of these missionaries,[3] can be met in Point Lookout. It also retrieves religious relics, but that is a secondary objective.[4] Its location is secret, and if you ask Marcella the location, she will refuse.[5]

- The Abbey of the Road may refer to the abbey in the novel A Canticle for Leibowitz, which plays a similar role seeking out religious relics in a post-apocalyptic world.
- It may also refer to the album "Abbey Road," released by the Beatles in 1969. The name may also reference Abbey Road Studios where The Beatles recorded all of their albums.
