14 Degrees East was a division of Interplay Entertainment, responsible for developing strategy games based on intellectual properties owned by the company, including Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. It was founded on March 3, 1999, under Brian Christian. The eight year veteran of Interplay worked with the division until 2002, when he quit the company and began working for SEGA of America.
2002 also marked the last action of 14 Degree East: The release of a compilation of Fallout titles released until that date.
