The .44 pistol is a weapon in Fallout 4.

    Background

The following section is transcluded from .44 Magnum revolver. To modify, please edit the source page.

The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is a six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge, manufactured since 1955. This large frame revolver offers excellent accuracy, firepower, and reliability. Multiple models remain available and quite popular in the wastelands, from the shortened 4 1/2 inch variant to the full size, high end monsters with scopes.[1] By default, the revolvers come with tritium illuminated sights.[2]

    Characteristics

A veritable hand cannon, the .44 pistol is an excellent revolver that can deal tremendous damage with the right perks and modifications. However, ammunition can be more difficult to find than with other firearms, decreasing the utility of the .44 pistol.

    Crafting

With the Contraptions Workshop add-on, .44 pistols can be manufactured using a weapon forge.

    Locations

    • This item can be found quite early in the game after leaving Sanctuary Hills towards USAF satellite station Olivia. The surrounding area is covered by a forest but you will find a water extractor, a skeleton, the .44 pistol, and a little amount of ammunition, the form of this weapon is stubnose with the rest of the mods being standard.
